Why do they call it football if you throw the ball with your hand?

The ball was designed 12 inches long for professionals. When deciding on a name, they wanted to also be able to specify the ball from other balls.

Because you kick the ball too! You must kick the ball off to start all quarters, and after you score and if you choose to you can punt the ball (kicking the ball once again) after three downs...any more questions? Now Soccor is the true "futbol"

originally, football was played by only running and kicking. then later they made a rule that you could do a forward pass. HEY SEBASTIAN SCREW YOU!!european piece of crap.
