The type section is along Duck Creek just north of Denison Texas, which would be along North Eisenhower Parkway where it runs along the railroad tracks. It is a fairly widespread formation, and is pretty common in Grayson and Cooke Counties of Texas. Denton, Johnson, and Tarrant Counties also have exposures. The formation is also in Oklahoma.

I suggest you check state and federal laws before collecting any fossils on public land. There can be a stiff penalty if you are caught collecting illegally.

(Aside to mountaingym: http://texaspolitics.laits.utexas.edu/html/exec/features/0905_01.html Some would also consider the rights of way along highways as public land, but it is mostly a matter of semantics in this case since many of the same laws would apply when they prosecuted.)

I wasn't going to answer this question till Now and Then mentioned about "collecting fossils on public land". FYI (and FHI) there is no public land in Texas, but then maybe he was talking about Oklahoma's Public Lands.
