in this day and age, people have no honor or respect. A ring on the finger actually makes a person more desirable, and a person with a ring especially women, will probably get hit on more then a person with out a ring.

At least that's the way it seems to me.

a wedding ring is a symbol of marriage.. that's the point in wearing it

but if he's engaged, then yes, he should wear a ring.

If he widowed, I can understand.
If he is engaged - well, ok.
If he is a single guy, then it just means he wants to be left alone.
I knew a single guy who used to do this because he said it would attract more women, sadly, it seemed to work.

If he is surrounded by predatory females, yes. It may not stop them, but gives him an out.
