Nope. Air conditioners do not "create" cold air, they simply separate hot air molecules from cold ones, and send each in different directions. And it takes power to do this. So instead, you will be contributing to GW if you do this. If you want to help reduce it, don't turn it on at all.

your question is of some serious idiocy. for one condensation would be a mess for you. and secondly whatever the a.c. does to air outside would do the same inside. get a fan and sell your a.c. unit and your so called environmental save practice will be done!

If I open the refrigerator door, am I cooling the kitchen down? on condition that the motor does no longer kick on. Then i'm in all possibility including extra warmth to the room. So my answer is: in all possibility no longer.
