They will pursue happiness and get in trouble in similar ways to those you can see humans doing now. Some will attempt to make quick profit, others will be lazy, and a few will have the insight to cut corners and invent gadgets to save time/make life easier. The ratio of projects failed to projects attempted will probably be about the same as ever, but then, who has data on that sort of thing?

Prediction: enclosed and self sufficient colonies, producing their own food, oxygen and recycling water, beneath the Earth's surface before man sets foot on Mars.

this is obviously an opinion question.

I believe that humans will "soon" (hundred? two hundred years?) be able to create a "backup" copy of themselves, similar to how a videogame player might "save" progress before they attempt something that may kill their character. In this case, only the person's memory will be saved. a new body would need to be provided if the backup is to be revived.

Also, it will be possible to build a totally convincing immersive reality; convincing enough that a person may be "born" in it, live an entire "life", and at the end, "die", only to awaken in reality (sound familiar? yes, there is no way to prove that's not already happening right now - are you sure you are not dreaming?)

i think these two are the most important developments which will happen in the near future.

It is difficult to guess what will happen in the /far/ future...
