Usually people are afraid of things they don´t know, so it´s easier for them to hate than to understand. It´s as simple as that, but sad. I just don´t understand why people can´t even try to understand people that are not like themselves. This is unfortunately nothing new in the human history. What has this selfishness led us to, disaster. I´m sad to say it, but man will never learn. Just believe in yourself and live your life as you want to.

What people hate homosexuals besides pagans?
I am a Christian and some of my friends are homosexuals, and coming from a Christian aspect, "true" Christians DO NOT hate ANYBODY, not even homosexuals, in fact, Jesus commanded us to LOVE our neighbor as ourselves, and there are not any qualifications to that statement. As Christians we are to love our neighbors, yes, however, we are allowed by God to hate their sin, there is a BIG difference between hating a person, or their practices.
Is it possible you might be confusing the hate of sin with the hate for people? No doubt about it, there are thousands of people who hate gays and these people are known as pagans. They hate anything they don't understand, period!
I understand you are an athiest, too bad that you will not see the Kingdom of God in your present state (unless you had sincerely accepted Jesus prior to becoming an athiest).
The Lord says we are nothing more than a vapor, appearing for a very short time and then we are gone from this life. I sincerely hope you will not waste your life professing athiesm, it is a real DEAD END. If you REALLY want to know if God exists, why have you not asked for proof? I did, and God showed His almighty power to me by answering several of my prayers. Amazingly enough, it works, but you have to trust Him first.

I know you don't want us saying in religious theories but your saying untrue things about Christians so I am going to say it anyway. You want others to be nice to you but you get to say whatever bad things you wanna say about Christians and except us to just sit back and deal with it! I don't think so! First of all the bible doesn't say anything about killing someone if they grow crops out of the season. So if your gonna argue with that at least have a scripture to support why you are saying this. And don't try categorizing all Christians either. We don't all think that gay people are gonna burn in hell. I don't think that at all. And we don't hate gays we disagree with there actions. I mean race and gender all have to do with what a person is whereas homosexuality has to do with what a person does. I don't hate the person I dislike there actions. Before you accuse someone of hating gays. Learn what hate really is. People disagree with other people all the time about different things but it doesn't mean we don't like one another.

Why don't you type what sort of comment you do want and I can sign it?
For me it is not the gayness, but it is the abrasive attitude toward non gays, the total lack of accountability of ones adult behavior, the spectacle made in public, the political lobby intended to circumvent the democratic process, and the apparent complete lack of tolerance toward diverse ideas that may not fit the popular mold.
LGBT's are not the sole source of this, I see it at work, in politics, education...it's epidemic.
As for being gay? Whatever, have sex whatever way you enjoy.
I keep mine in the bedroom and WOULD APPRECIATE THE SAME COURTESY.

People who quote Leviticus make me laugh. I'm just waiting for that unbelievable day, when I turn on the six o'clock news and see the story about a group of fundaMENTAList Christians being placed under arrest, for trying to stone a runway full of supermodels to death for "wearing blended fabrics." Isn't that the prescribed punishment in the Bible? Like someone else already said: how does that make these people Christians, if they get to pick and choose what to follow vs. what not to?

I'm not going to yell at you!
The reason Christians don't like gay people is because they are commiting a major sin.. I'm a Christian and I have a good gay friend, I don't like what he's doing, but I shouldn't bash him and cut him off because he's gay, or say "You're going to burn in hell because of what you are!", Christians especially shouldn't be jerks to gays, because by being mean to them, we are pushing them farther away from them being helped...

Some hate us because they're a miserable failure at home and at work, and are looking for someone to blame. Others use us to distract attention away from their own sins and immorality, as though things like infidelity, stealing from work, and spousal abuse are incidental in comparison. Yet others are closet cases who use it to convince others that they're straight. I believe that covers about 90%; the rest are backwoods hicks that just hate everyone and everything that's different.

Ignorance. Most people who are anti-gay don't know that being gay is neither choice nor is it a disease or sin. Most of these people are easily swayed by their preachers, who see homosexuality as a disease. It's weird how these preachers, who preach a religion that seeks peace, compassion, and brotherhood between all people, oppose the notion that any crimes against homosexuals shouldn't be a hate crime. It's ridiculuous. Anyways, these people are dying out, so I guess that's some good news.

i don't hate gays.
i hate the life-style they've chosen, not the person.
in time they'll have plenty of chances to accept that it's not part of gods rules/strict guidelines.
just because you don't believe in God,
doesn't mean it's right.
does it?
like i say i don't hate gay people.

simply enough, people don't like what they don't understand. While not all people "hate us" there is a percent that do, most of those people are dealing with their one issues of sexual identity or have been sexually abused in some what and in turn they take it out on the people who have come to terms with and are comfortable with their sexual identity.
