Man created GOD in his image. Humans seem to have an inherent need to believe in something that controls the universe. Humans have always tried to assign a cause for a effect that they see, feel or are otherwise affected by.
If you do some basic research you can find the evolution of god(s) throughout time. As man has become more sophisticated and technological, so have the god(s). Our gods have progressed from the god of the wind, water, volcanoes, to the now ethereal gods of Christianity, Judaism and Hinduism etc.
God(s) exist solely in the imagination of the humans that needs to believe in a god(s).

Asking if someone believes in God without defining what you mean by God is meaningless, even if it is commonly done. Is it God the guy with a white beard who manages an afterlife hotel named heaven? Is it God the Universe? Is it Yahweh? Zeus? Morgan Freeman? It’s when you get to this level of details that people start to disagree, and then it gets interesting.
I don’t believe in a god that you can have a meaningful conversation with, and I do not believe in an afterlife. I do, however, believe that Morgan Freeman exists. For now.
And yes, you are better than me. For now.

No. But if I encountered what I felt was conclusive evidence for the existence of a God, I would change my mind. But the entire possibility seems too far fetched in my mind, especially when so many other theories make more sense, plain and simple.

yeah, nothing else to believe in ( and just cuz im a muslim dont think that i have to believe in god and be an extremist ot something...).
my argument to aethiests is this:
Me: how was the world created?
Aethiest: Big Bang.
M: How did the Big Bang occur?
A: Chemical reaction.
M: What created those chemicals?
A: Shut Up! dont mess up my mind you taliban extremist. Go f*ck your god.
it kinda always ends like that.
hey if you're an aethiest, please dont take that seriously, it was a joke. and if you do believe in god, lets kill the jews!!!
(I swear im not an extremist).
Lol if god was real he'd get me off this computer and into bed cuz i havent slept for 2 days (not gonna happen).
Why'd you ask this question... thinking of converting?

What do you mean - any God? There's only ONE true God -- and He has many names. Jesus Christ, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, The Great I Am -- I could go on and on!
Yes - I definitely believe!

I believe that there is a superior being that was involved in the beginning of time and still is involved in the world. I do not know or care in what form that being is or what control that it has on our lives. The world could not evolve without some plan.

Definitely not.
As a rational, thinking human being, I can not come to terms with religious belief. However, I am fully prepared to defend, to my last breath, the right of anyone else to believe as they think fit, provided in so doing, they offer all others the same courtesy.

I'm straddling the fence. If he does, great. If he doesn't, that's fine too. I don't see worshiping any particular god as a worthwhile practice. Because he could just as easily be one of the other ones, and you can't be enrolled in every religion known to man simultaneously. And even then, we don't know if any of the religions worship any sort of real god at all.
