Long story short- "white industry" only markets "black negativity". "White industry" and government officials / politicians are in each other's back pockets. It's a case of "you scratch my back, I scratch yours". "White industry" wants to market "black negativity" because "teenie boppers" are their consumer base. (Teenie boppers think it's cool to be (or play) "thug".) And government officials / politicians are in support of this since they want to perpetuate stereotypes. Better to pour fuel all over the fire of racism so that society remains deaf, dumb, and blind to government corruption.

It's become too soft. Biggie and Tupac never changed but these rappers today (50 Cent, Game, Jay - Z) have become soft as hell. I guess it's hard to talk about the hood when you in a 20 room mansion and got 10 cars. Could you imagine Tupac doing Amusement Park? If someone told him to do that song he blow his head off! Today's rappers have sold out. They do what ever the producers tell them to do. Rap is in ICU right now, and the minister about ready to read the last rites.

It's big business now. It is about lining pockets of these big advertisers. If you look at a music video, you see all these clothes and "stuff" that you have never seen before. Mysteriously they all appear at the local store. They even have rims at the rent to own stores. It is about lining pockets, everyone's pocket. It use to be a positive impact. Now it is garbage.

Rappers dont love the music anymore. There only goal now is to perpetuate stereotypes so that they can apeal to white teenagers and sell records. Thus making them money. And I must say they do a damn good job. What a shame.

Why make people think when you can make women shake their azzez. I know women who buy cds for one song--the one that made their booty's clap the hardest. Of course, this is not all women.
