The Intel 845 is not really a graphics card. It is build into your motherboard, and leeches off your other hardware to get the pictures onto your screen. You can't really even compare it to other graphics cards. It has zero mb. It is like having no graphics card at all.

However, I believe that in most set ups, the card is given 64 mb of your RAM. But don't compare it to a real graphics card with 64 MB, because the Intel 845 is far worse.

Hi. my old packard bell had intel 845 and think it was 64mb. It may have been 128 but I have the infomration somewhere so will edit my answer at a later time.

Graphics have moved on since then. My laptop now has intel 950 which offers up to 224mb on my acer laptop.

If you are thinking about buying a pc with intel 845 I wouldnt bother as it is a lot dated by now.

Intel 845 is a lesser card than something from SIX YEARS AGO. It's not even as powerful as the original NVIDIA GeForce 256 (i.e. GeForce 1). I believe that about says all I need to say.

the 845 integrated video chipset i think only goes as high as 32-64 MB, but i could be wrong there..

if you're wondering what kinds of games you'll be able to play.. the answer is not many.. and to upgrade the video, you're generally stuck with regular PCI bus cards (not agp or PCI-Express, though some older Dells use that chipset and have AGP slots)

yeah... the penguin guy said it... it doesn't compare... even if you compare MB to MB that doesn't at all translate into similar performance
