I consider myself as wealthy but I don't think I am any better or worse a person than those without money. What my finances can do is give me the freedom to live my life as I choose, away from chavtown estates, with their yob culture, screaming kids, banshee housewives with more tattoos than their thug husbands, piles of rubbish everywhere and utter filth and squalor.
Britain, a once proud nation, destroyed. RIP

My husbands friend whom he grew up with, both came from the same area etc. But he worked at his own business and done really well for himself. He is a really nice bloke and is still his same old self. But his wife (who came from nothing too) is a real snobby cow, and always tries to talk down to me. They split for a while and i'm not sure if they are that happy now, I rise above her digs cos i'm happy with my life and am not jealous of her lifestyle at all. I have lots of friends and i would consider myself lucky to have what i have got, 2 healthy boys and a husband who loves family. I'm not poor, but i'm not rolling in it. But we have a comfortable life and have nice holidays each year. So rich people have no reason to think they are any better.

Besides people who inherit their money, wealth is a sign of success. I am from a pretty wealty family, my parents are attorneys and am in college and probably going to be one too. Its not that we feel better then people of lesser social status, its just that I tend to view success as being achievable. Now granted, i have an easier way into college, but if you can't afford it, work hard in grade school. Get all A's so you can get a free ride to college. Success takes a lot of work, and often times it means sacrificing fun. I am of the belief that everyone can make something of themselves. I don't think non wealty people are stupid, I just don't think they applied themselves in school. People who say they can't do school are lazy and ignorant because everyone has potential. So the real question is, Do non wealty people think that there is no way that they can be rich?

I think the people who were born with money dont know any different, and it can make them nasty people to be around if you are not as wealthy as them. People who are rich because they worked their butts off for it, soemtimes remember that they were where a lot of us are today so they tend to stay more grounded.

Sure and it is supported by the media and just about everywhere you look. Pretty sad when money can make one person a better person than the next. :(

If a person has become rich due to years of hard work and dedication, this person may very well view him/herself as being superior to someone who doesn't work as hard and complains about being poor.

I dont think thats true of all of them
some are genuinely grateful for their luck
but people get lost in the way they are treated
if they are treated like they're better they might start to believe it
