I have a male betta, and when I go to put food his his vase(bowl) his like jumps out of the water at my hand, I am not joking! like not all the way about at least half of his top is out of the water and his whole head, its really funny. What should I do? and is there anybody else with this problem? or thing?

put a mirror up to him, and watch himself go against it! ;-)

I have seen them do this as well. It does look pretty funny. The only potential problem would be the fish jumping out of the bowl, so watch carefully for that.

Bettas are good at jumping. He's simply reacting to the food. My old betta used to do that come feeding time.

Get him out of the bowl. Get him into a small fish tank, at least 3 gallons. This will settle him down. The small, inadequate home is stressing him.

i dont think there's anything wrong with him, betta's tend to be aggressive, so he might just be a VERY aggressive beta. just be careful when you feed him.
