There is a horror movie where the ONLY scene i can remember is the scene with I believe a mom and a daughter, and some possessed vaccum cleaner in the room. The vaccum got closer and closer to the girl, and they both got scared. This is the only scene I can remember, because I was very young, and left the room after the scene because I was scared. Please help me remember this movie. Im 22, so maybe i was 5 when this was on tv, so not sure what year

it wasnt any of those listed. The part was dark, and the vaccums hose was going towards the girl. If i can remember, I think the mother was going to stab the vaccum or something, but the vaccum's hose quickly turned around and "looked" at her, and she stopped. All the part I can remember is the vaccums hose making a sucking nose going towards the girl, it being dark, and the mother being there.

There's a scene in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" where the UFOs show up at a house where a vaccuum cleaner does come alive, and it does have a Mom and a kid (a son actually) the Mom is freaked out about it. The kid on the other hand thinks its all fun.

Are you sure it was horror?.. I remember a scene in Mister Mom where Jaws (the vacuum cleaner) starts chasing them.. It's not a terribly long scene.. but as a kid it might have been a bit scary..

the only movie I can think of where the machines came alive and started eating people was Maximum Overdrive with Emelio Estevez.
Although the 1984 movie Pulse might come close...
