im a girl of 17, and i have very WEIRD period cycles, my last one was on the the 27th of april 2007, and the one before that 15th of december 2006, my periods skip like that alot, but can also be regular for 2 or 3 monthds before stopping again. is there any explaination to this? i 1st started getting my periods in feb 2005, some months they will be very very light, then maybe after skipping 3 months, still be very light, then the next month be really heavy. i have never had sex. i now have cramps (like period cramps) but no sign of my period, can annyone help.

If you haven't found one yet, its time you find yourself a gynecologist. They can put your mind at ease about all this kind of stuff.

Things can be crazy for the first few years of your period. This can be normal - and the cramps, that could be your body preparing for your cycle, or could even be ovulation cramps.
To be safe and to get clear concise answers, I'd make a trip to the doctor's. Good Luck :)

theres no need to worry, it took three years for my periods to sort themselves out into a regular pattern. i always have cramps about two weeks before i come on and never when im bleeding. if you are still unsure see your doctor.

It takes a few years for the cycle to become regular. Don't worry.

Also, if you're extremely athletic with a very low body fat ratio, it can upset your cycles.
