Dried corn cobs. They love them.

Or, put up a bird feeded. They LOVE to eat out of bird feeders (and it's funny to watch them do it). Or, if you wanted to make it easy on them, just toss out birdseed onto the ground.

The squirrels are probably nesting in a tree in her yard or nearby.

There are several ways to attract squirrels to your yard. Scatter corn in your yard, or put up a feeder, or table to spread the corn on. My dad has a wide table about 3 feet by 5 feet. It has a lower shelf, and upper shelf, and a roof on it. (in case it rains, the squirrels can still eat, and the corn won't mildew)

If you have an oak tree or pecan tree, leave the nuts on the ground for the squirrels to eat. If your friend has these types of trees, ask her if you can pick up some of the nuts to take to your yard.

If you have a dog or cat in your yard, they might scare the squirrels away. Keep them inside or on a chain to keep the squirrels safe.

Some people think squirrels are a nuisance. I've even heard of someone having their air filter on their car jam-packed with acorns from a squirrel. :-) LOL

Good luck!

I have a squirrel feeder in my yard. I put a squirrel feeder (a little house with a clear liftable top) on a landscape timber and filled it with black-oil sunflower seeds. I put the squirrel feeder there to keep the squirrels away from my birdfeeders. It works.

Please note: squirrels are territorial. They pick a tree, or several trees, and that's where they live. If you're squirrel-free, you may be fortunate enough to lure neighbors' squirrels into your property, where they will establish their territory.

This is interesting! Most people hate squirrels because they're destructive.

I get teased all the time that I have the fattest squirrels in town, they come from all over the neighborhood to eat at my yard. I have several feeders that I fill with peanuts in the shell. I just hang them from the tree limbs. Beware though once you start they can be very demanding. I've had them throw empty shells at me dirty looks to down right vocal. It cost me about 4$ aweek I buy them at Ace hardware where they call me the squirrel lady. Good luck, happy feeding.

Geeze... wish I had your problem; the neighbor across the street has one that gets in my bird feeder, digs up the Lily bulbs that I planted, etc. A friend gave me a little dog, and that does help, but the dog does occasionally take a nap. Seems as tho the squirrel is quite observant and know when it is safe to come on to my property. Sigh......

Put out a variety of nuts and berries. My neighbor feeds the squirrels all sorts of things. You should know that they dont like cats. There is one squirrel that takes off after my cat when he goes outside. They also carry a lot of things you dont want around you. And-another tip-never try to pet them.

Put on a sexy girl squirl costume and do an exotic dance, run halfway across your lawn then stop all of a sudden and then rub back to the other side.

Don't forget to wiggle your little tail, that is a sure fire way to get attract squirrels. Watch out for their claws when they grab they hold on.

Put away your dog, stick a corncob on a nail in a tree and stand in the yard and act like a nut.
