If you look at the radical muslims, and the percentage of normal muslims in the world, it is but a fraction; but of the irish, it is very high, and now they are releasing mass murderers from jail who were IRA? i dont understand. A few things to point out. The terrorists you speak off were from Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland has never used such tactics.
The Taoiseach of the Republic of Ireland is as far from an IRA leader as you would ever get.
The person I presume you are talking about is Martin McGuinness Deputy Leader of Sinn Féin and Deputy First Minister of the Northern Ireland Assembly. It is widely accepted, but not proven, that he was at least on the PIRA Army Council.
You are also equating a small population of 5million (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland ) with a religion of over 1 Billion. So of course there is going to be a lower per capita.
If you would like to compare like with like it would be Northern Irish and Basque.

Because the vast majority of Irish people aren't terrorists, just like the vast majority of Muslims aren't. The difference is that America has been attacked. In America's eyes, no other country matters.

I don't think they are as like as their accent is (Irish). People like the Irish accent. However let them hijack a few planes, crash them into some buildings like the others and I'm sure the sound of an Irish voice will make blood boil.
