Okay, did someone just say that the Mariners won a World Series? Maybe they need to check their history books.
It's obviously the Jays, who had a run of greatness in the early 90s that the Mariners can't approach. The Mariners have made it to ALCS, but haven't even played for the World Series title. The Jays, meanwhile, had a run of four division titles in five years, culminating in back-to-back World Series titles with huge names like Alomar, Molitor, Morris, Cone and Winfield.
The Jays also have a franchise winning percentage of .495, compared to the .472 of the Mariners. The M's had that magic season back in 2001, but that ended in a quick playoff loss. In this debate, the Jays are the obvious answer.

As much as I hate to say it, its the Blue Jays. The Mariners have closed the gap in recent years, but those World Series championships are huge in determining the most successful team on the field.
In drawing fans to the ballpark, again its the Blue Jays. This is especially true across the northern tier of teams since Toronto has a whole country pulling for them, and filling the seats at away games. This has been enhanced by the demise of the Expo's. The Mariners, even with Ichiro, can't come close to that.

No doubt, the Blue Jays. They have won a couple of championships, which is something the Mariners have not done. This year Seattle's best team is the one they used to have, the Milwaukee Brewers. They were once the Seattle Pilots and are in first place.

One team has won the World Series and the other has not and winning is the ultimate sign of success. So really it is a no brainer with the Blue Jays...that Joe Carter HR off of Mitch Williams is still one of the great HRs of all time!

blue jays without doubt. the blue jays won back to back world series and the mariners didnt even go to a world series. the mariners do have the 116 win season, but they didnt even make it to the world series that year. that shows how much they struggle in the playoffs.
