Yes, only when I disobeyed them. They spanked me when I wouldn't listen to them. If it weren't for the spankings, I'd be a selfish, disobediant brat all of the time. Spankings teach children to do what their parents say or get the consequences. Spanking bratty kids is a good thing.
When I have kids, I'm going to spank them too.

Once ... yeah. I "accidentally" went off down the path that I shouldn't have riding my bike, and my mom didn't know where I was. (I was supposed to be at a friend's.) When I got home, I was lectured and spanked.
The other times were just sharp reminders with a slap on my butt. Truth is, I should've been spanked a lot more!!! But usually, I was good at not being caught.

my mother used to break the blood vessels in her hand when she would spank us , which was kind of funny ...........but it wasnt so funny when she decided the wiffle ball bat would work better
let me tell you something....that damn plastic bat hurt like hell
my grandmother used to hit us with an old leather belt she had and you knew when you were gonna get whipped when she would walk down the hall smacking the belt againstr her leg....damn scary that was

My father spanked me, so few in fact that I can only remember it being once.
My mother used to beat the crap out of me...alot!

No, my parents did not spank me but my sisters used to hit me frequently with a pink vinyl brush on bare skin.

No, but they would beat the S*hit out of me, w/o doing anything wrong. Thats why I got taken away from them at age 11.
