I have worked in the Information Technology area for 25 years. One of my favorite posters exemplifies what you state.

It outlines the tasks in a project (10 of them).

The last step reads:

"Celebration and praise for the non participants in the project"

Here is the full text:

1. Enthusiasm for the goal.
2. Disillusionment with the progress.
3. Search for the guilty.
4. Persecution of the innocent.
5. Praise for the non-participants.

Dear, it is a sad tragedy that the smartest of people are often the most gullible. They only see the positive side and trust a lot, this is the reason for their predicaments. Research should be registered and copyrighted AT ALL TIME! Each publication should have an ISBN.

Protect your work, and STOP trusting blindly, often your own friends are the perpetrators because you keep making the same predictable mistakes! Wake up and smell the coffee, it is a competitive world with NO ROOM for the susceptible! Good luck

The first lesson we should be taught at school is that life isn't fair, or it doesn't appear to be so. But if you think on a universal level, maybe things are working out for our own good, whether we realise it or not. Maybe it all comes out even somehow, somewhere along the line. M
Perhaps a disappointment is sometimes needed to teach us something, or to help our soul grow a little. My life could've been much easier if things had been 'fair' from my point of view, but then I wouldn't be the person I am today, perhaps I'd have been weaker, less understanding or less patient ...who knows.

Exactly. My boss is always taking credit for my ideas, and even my work. But he will get his reward in the end when he has no one else to steal ideas from. You just have to be heard as well as seen. Do not trust anyone at work with information that can get you ahead. Also be very careful of what you say around those you work with. They seem nice, but they are trying to get ahead, and will use you for their own gain.

Because the person who should get the glory does not put it out there. If you are talking about you -play it smart and put out a outline of what you are working on in a scientific mags. That way people will know you are working on it before that person came a long.

Its usually the people that do the real work, that are in the background that don't get the credit. Its the public, outgoing figures, or the teachers or bosses who usually get the credit.

1) Some people really don't want to be famous. Fame brings its own problems.

2) Yep, human recognition is largely based on politics.

3) That's why Christians invest their greatest effort in directions "The God Who Sees" is most likely to reward.

My friend...does recognition matters? i work for my own fullfilment ..and if iam satisfied with my work i hardly look for any recognition. Moreover as it is hard to hide the spark of a diamond so is it difficult to hide talent!!.. if you work to your true potential and be true to yourself success will always be yours. All these recognitions and awards are earthly delights....you should always aim for the higher goal.....the inner peace. I believe we should always go for what we wanna achieve without thinking of succcess ........it would only enable us to give our 100% and also keep us away from distractions like who's took the credit et al.

Always belive that truth is the ultimate winner!!! One who seems to be the winner today might actually end up losing if he is not true to himself.......this is what Mhatma Gandhi taught us.

The people doing the work are usually too busy working to promote themselves....And there will always be some out there willing to sign their names to other people's work. Not fair but that's how it is.

Usually because the 'winner' makes themselves 'teachers pet' or someone interfears. Long term recognition is not so important, intelligence and knowledge win through. Deep yes, true yes.
