UGH! I can justsee it now. Someone REALLY NEEDS to go to rehab and they start singing her *!#*! song!

Having lived with an alcoholic drug abuser for years, I really HATE that song. The music behid the song is good, but the lyrics are completely irresponsible.

I have never heard of Amy before this song showed up on the radio...

And it's just as bad as that song a few years ago about marijuana. I can't remember how that one went.

What happened to good old love songs and such?

*sigh* we make too many allowances for music lyrics these days. All the stuff I hear I think "gosh, I don't want my kid to hear this!"

I'm not saying it's the music FAULT, but why make things worse? No wonder our morals in this country are eroding so fast. Our kids idolize these people, and we say it's ok cuz it's just music... etc.

I agree with you.

Then again, probably 80% of the lyrics in songs these days is irresponsible.

At least in this case, to anyone who is sober at the time, this girl sounds like an absolute nut. You realize how stupid the argument to not get treatment is.

On the other hand, the only way art can truly reflect culture is if it takes on the good and the bad, the smart and the stupid. If all the music out there were love songs, that would just really suck. I mean, I don't like songs that seem to validate drug use, promniscuity, or random crime, but even I would get pretty ill if all I ever heard about were love songs (and I must tell you, there have been times in my life when I wanted to kill all fans of love songs, and if you've ever had a broken heart, you realize how much love songs can SUCK in those times).

I honestly doubt the song is going to be any kind of deciding factor in someone deciding to not get help for a problem.

0I love Amy Winehouse <3 She is my well-liked frightening celebrity! Now this could be a trick question as a results of fact each and every physique knows that fifty two cottonballs, a bowl of air-popped pop corn, seventy 5 feathers, one extra great pretzel stick, 4 helium-crammed balloons all weigh with regards to the comparable volume. Obivously the respond is F: each and every of the above as a results of fact she makes use of those products as accesories ;D

Mmmm I can see what you're saying but music is not supposed to be PC. And her look isn't exactly advertising not going to rehab, she's really too skinny and looks awful most of the time. But what's good about her is that she only appeals to a certain audience, whereas a lot of little girls know lyrics pussycat doll lyrics.

I'm not a big fan of the song, but I'm with 100's and 1000's answer on this one. I'd rather hear my daughter sing "they tried to make me go to rehab" than "doncha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me"!

you need to go to yahoo music and view her interview. she explains this song...
it has nothing to do with an alcoholic or even from the point of anyone's view.....she explains it all.

In addition, there are lots of songs on the radio today that are in reference to alcohol, drugs, abuse, beating women etc...so do you take offense to all of those as well or just Amy Wineharts.

She is one of the fastes growing female artists worldwide right now.

The lyrics are from the point of view of an alcoholic- they're not exactly supposed to be "right".

no, i disagree...
a SONG isn't going to 'eff up someones' life... people make their own decisions and 'eff up their lives for their selves, you know what i mean?
I think Amy is just expressing herself... that's what ART is!

Edit:
yea! lol! the guy above me gets what i'm saying!
Oh, and PS: me too: my mother = a BIG TIME drug abuser... to this very day, really (i don't see/ talk/ anything with her anymore...) and my father?: an alcoholic.

it's just another pointless song.

it's on the level of a song about lip gloss and shoes.

i don't like the song, and she gets on my nerves.

just ignore it. when it comes on switch to another station or song.
