hımmm...
The most time I experienced it in my Job&Life...
When I have a work with my young&inexpert or old&smart workers/employees about manufacturing ,maintenance and correction...
They always think that true is their know...
And
They can't accept to get a command and direction from young or unexperienced manager according to them.
And
When I said and wanted some direction during process/work ..
Always I had some problems because of their clueless obstinacy ...
Initially,
I only speak with good intent.
And
If It didn't work ....
I allow to commit a mistake for break their view point how they think wrong with their clueless obstinacy...
Before an ARGUMENT.
(An argument always make/conduce/induce
CONFLICT in between persons or Probably is Pretty BIG)
and an Agreement can have unprejudiced attitude...
I / You can be more close to people with sincere attitude
And
I / You can learn their view points and sensivities
With your a little bit tolerance/indulge.
and
In the End,
I hear a full of regret sound from them...
And then
They ask to learn what is true about work
With Big RESPECT TO ME.
And
Only, lost is that first mistake and its cost...
But its profit bigger than lost (previous action)
during to process
Profit is RESPECT ,TIME,QUALITY AND TO LEARN....
Vice versa.....

I think I learn from both, b/c A agreement will help you understand what you did wrong or other person so you can learn from mistakes that goes with arguments. But it will take longer to learn from a argument then a agreement. But i learn from both. A lot of thinking goes with arguments. :)

From which do you learn, more from an agreement or an argument you asked? I am a person that when I know I am right about something they are discussing, I would not agree with anyone else opinion, i would argue the point until I get results, which is that I was right all along. It depends on some people, which are their priorities.

That depends. Both can be a learning experience. As long as it is equally two sided.
In an agreement there may, or may not, be more information to share.
In an argument there is always information to share. but not always the willingness to do so.

The argument is far more effective in coherent learning.
The argument requires people to think through their
responses because they know they will be challenged.
The argument counters laziness, lazy people refuse
to participate in the argument(although not all people
who refuse to argue are lazy) because they know
that their lack of effort in searching for the truth will
become apparent. Argue thoroughly, and the conclusions
of the debate will procure solid agreements; know the
boundaries of the agreement by the disagreement.

Agreement if it is true harmony and peace and not false duality in disguise (rearmament). Agreement in unity allows for the focus required to learn. Argument creates doubt that keeps the mind from completely focusing on the subject.

An argument. If you both agree, there is less reason to present evidence to win someone over, but if you disagree you have to provide proof for your argument. So you learn not only what the other person is arguing for, but you also learn more about what you are arguing for.

I would say a mature argument. Where there is a discussion and sharing of two points of view. Seeing the world from another person's perspective is a great learning experience.

It depends on the situation ... I mean IDEALY we woudl live in a world where there was NO ARGUMENT in a VAST NEGATIVE TONE, instead it would be worked out in a "smooth understanding" type of way....
If you are RIGHT about a situation and those ARGUING against you are TOTALLY OFF BASE well then it can be a waste of time sometimes, if they are ARGUING in FAVOR of SLAVERY for example... I guess you could still LEARN from the situation like how to deal with other SLAVEOWNERS who may arise....
