I answer questions without any type of bias, and without bashing or blaming liberals or conservatives for certain things. I am so sick of many conservatives bashing liberals and liberals bashing conservatives. We are supposed to be a united country, not a divided one over politics and political parties. George Washington, very possibly our best President ever, warned against people fighting over political ideology and political parties. The Founding Fathers would be ashamed of what the country they worked so hard to make free and united has become. I just wish more people would be independent and not fight all the time.

i'm more sick of the bickering than i am the disagreement.

i think you have a real point if i'm understanding you correctly. i don't think your issue is with disagreement, you seem to be more of a critical thinker than that.

but i totally agree that there's no need for insults. i've been guilty of responding to insults with insults, mostly because it's a waste of energy to try and respond to a joke question with a serious answer.

i have no issue with most conservatives or most liberals.

but then again, they're often the silent ones who don't insult each other at every possible opportunity.

I could not agree more!

My mom is a liberal and my dad is a conservative and they have been happily married for 40 years! My sister is a liberal and I am generally conservative. We have fantastic political discussions because we relate to each other with respect.

Even when we disagree, it is with respect and civility and the mutual agreement that everyone has the right to his or her own opinion.

If that happened Yahoo could shut down Politics and Government because this would be a very boring site.

Yes, yes, yes! I am especially sick of those who see the political world as only Liberal and Conservative. There are a few of us who are moderate (I am a registered American Independent) who tend to get lumped in with one side or another.
The world is NOT black and white.

DADDY, WHY DO CONS AND LIBS ARGUE?

Because son, by design, they've both fallen for the false left-right paradigm diversion and don't realize or want to admit that the puppet strings of ANY president, republican or democrat, are being pulled by heads of central banking.

BUT DAD, HOW COME THEY DON'T REALIZE THAT?

Well son, they've both become so comfortable with blaming each other for everything that goes wrong that they can't think on a higher level and ask who the REAL manipulators of global events are. This works out great for the hierarchy, son. So it is perpetuated.

well I'd certainly like to see some straight-forward, intelligent answers on here. All I ever see is "those damn liberals" or "those rotten conservatives"

Honestly, sometimes it's as if Y!A was a daycare center and all the little kiddies are whining.

It all amounts to insults, which are what humans resort to when losing control of their expected or hoped for outcome.

Socialism is not communism, and communism is not fascism, and liberal and conservative do not mean today what they meant just a few decades ago. And a few decades ago, those terms did not mean what they meant in the 1920’s.

Yes.

It serve no purpose other than to divide us, and a house divided upon itself cannot stand.

Washington warned against political parties controlling the dialog. Now we know why.

You are very correct and I am as guilty as most. If we are fighting each other we can't see that this is exactly what they want.

When I see someone make a generalization I just can't help myself. But I am going to try and do better.

I agree the blind mindless name calling and outright hatred destroys any real value their comments may have. More thoughtful and respectful discourse would be far superior to what's happening on here.

Can we not disagree without being disagreeable?
