x - 13y = -316 -> -4x + 52y = 1264

sys of eq is now:
4x + 15y = 344
-4x + 52y = 1264

add them up:
67y = 1608
y = 24

x - 13y = -316
x = -316 + 13y = -316 + 13*24 = -4

Check the system? It should be -15y (or +13y) and y = 24 and x = - 4

4x + 15y = 344
- 4x + 52y = 1264----ADD

67 y = 1608
y = 24

x - 312 = - 316
x = - 4

Answer is x = - 4 , y = 24

well i won't give you the exact answer but i will do a similar one...

5x + 20y = 100
x + 5y = 50

take one equation and solve for one of the variables. i chose to solve for 'x' in the first one.

5x = 100 - 20y
x = 20 - 4y

now plug that value in for x into the second equation and solve for y.

x + 5y = 50
20 - 4y + 5y = 50
20 + y = 50
y = 30

now go back and plug y into either of the first 2 equations to get the answer for x.

x + 5y = 50
x + 5(30) = 50
x + 150 = 50
x = -100

solution:
x = -100
y = 30

now apply this technique with your equations.
