The Republicans who are leaving the Bush fold are the ones who will be facing a tough reelection fight in their states in 2008. Pundits last week said that most of these Republicans have been against the war for some time, but the polls have now given them "courage" to speak out.

Republicans, like democrats, are elected by the voters in their districts or states. If the enough of their voters tell them how they feel on an issue (ie: the immigration bill, the war, etc...) then the onus is on the elected representatives to vote the way the majority of their constituency dictates.

It is not just the war, his immigration nonsense, the out of control deficit, his pardon of an insider crony criminal, his support of a drug smuggler on the border, jailing border patrol guards who where doing their job, they wasn't to know that the drug smuggler was working for Bush. His personal demeanor has become silly, to watch. I personally believe that for all the clown he is, Kerry would have been worse,it is all very sad.
