About a month ago, Dennis Milligan, the chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party, sounded pretty excited about the prospect of domestic terrorism. Yesterday, Rick Santorum echoed a similar sentiment on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show.

Why would they look forward to the death and fear caused by terror attack?

Because it would validate the crap that they spew about the "war" on terror. It makes their little winkies woody too.

Well it's not a matter of IF there will be another Terror attack on the USA it's simply a matter of WHEN. I doubt Mr Milligan or Mr Santorum actually look forward to an attack but if when the next attack occurs and if it is before the 2008 Presidental Election then it's bad news for Democrats who thye majority of Americans view as being weak on National Security issues. So yes it would represent a political opportunity for some politicians.

It's not surprising, considering how much mileage they got out of 9/11.

But people are waking up and realizing that, even if we do face more terrorism in the future, the solution isn't going to come from the Conservatives in the form of wiping Liberals off the map. They've had a good long chance to show us all that their way was best, and all we have to show for it is we're worse off now than ever before.

Every problem the US faces -- every enemy of the US -- is not the fault of the Liberals and progressives. Rather, Liberals have been responsible for many of the benefits of living in our society -- like better employment standards and environmental protections. The founding fathers of the United States were very liberal and progressive for their time!

There has to be some balance between liberal and conservative in order to the United States to continue on growing and progressing. We've had an imbalance lately, and you're correct to think that fearmongering is at the root of that. As President Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, "we have nothing to fear but fear itself."

Because they know they need another attack because public outrage is reaching the boiling point over a bullsh*t war in Iraq and a bullsh*t administration.

Think about it: what is this president's legacy be? 9/11 and how he supposedly tough on terrorism and innocent the countries that supposedly attacked us.

If I lived in New York, LA, DC, or Houston I would be shaking in my boots right now.

I love these copy and paste questions. I don't even need to make fun of you for it to sound stupid.

I'll answer your question with another question:
Why is Hillary Clinton encouraging Al Queida to attack us again? She told reporters at a press conference that she wanted to pull out of the middle east right away, and we'll do something about terrorism after the NEXT 9/11.
Why does she encourage them to kill?

I think an attack would hurt Republicans politically because then their message that "there hasn't been another attack, therefore we're keeping you safe" wouldn't be as effective.

like the way Liberals eagerly awaited thousands of deaths in Iraq before we attacked? When less then a dozen got killed they enticed the Iraqi terrorists and al quada to go to Iraq.

It is the boy who cried wolf syndrome. if a terrorist attack doesn't occur then we realize the President was out chasing bananas (no pun intended).
