I've resently started watching this on adult swim from episode one, and I'm just curious as to how many epsides are in this anime? I've seen AMV's that show the boys (ed and al) as adults in "our world" and without the armor and auto-mail. Does adult swim portray the anime that far into the series, or is it not in english yet, or well....what? And where can I watch the episodes online, other than youtube, since they remove a lot of anime?
Please and thank you ^^

51 episodes were made and then translated into English, and you can buy the DVDs. There is also a movie which wraps up the end of the anime. The manga is still going strong and is totally worth the read!

There are only 51 episodes to the series Fullmetal Alchemist. This is followed by a Feature Film. Both the series and the movie have been professionally dubbed into English. There are 4? OVAs, basiclly little films, not exactly cannon with the series. These have yet to be dubbed by the pros, currently licensing is in the disscussion phase. There are also several spin off books and audio CDs. The CDs haven't been translated. Six books, seperate of the Manga, have been announced. Of these 3 have been released in the US.

51 episodes in total and 1 movie called the Conqueror of Shamballa. The AMV that you have watched which shows both of them without armour and automail is from the movie. You have to finish the whole series first before you watch the movie. FMA the anime has been fully completed and licenced so it can be found in English dubbed. You can watch the complete series and movie here:-

There are 51 episodes in the series, and the part where Ed and Al don't have automail and armor is most likely the movie, Conqueror of Shamballa, which takes place after the series. To see the series, try http://tv-links.co.uk/show.do/3/354 .

the japanese made a TV show based on the anime and basically what happened is adult swim wanted it too and made them speak english. Full metal alchemist is a short series which makes me believe that is is accurate to the anime. The only real difference is when it does come to adult swim it has to be "censored" and the amv you saw was really a movie they made (I forgot the name).

51 episodes. 1 movie. Watch the episodes first. They are worth watching. Some are funny, some are really sad. I have seen them all and have started watching them again.
