do you think people will ever be accepting of the fact that people are gay and that is is not a choice or do you think we are forever to be pushed to the side ( in some peoples minds).

I hope one day but I don’t see it being anytime soon. I’m sure it will get better but it takes a long time for acceptance to occur, and sometimes it never happens. Being gay is probably easier now then say 20 – 25 years + years ago.

I think it does depend on where you live, I have two gay couples that live on my block, and yearly there is a gay pride parade so the neighborhood I live in is quite excepting of Gays, any one really, it’s a very diverse place, people of all colors, religious backrounds, people from different countries etc.

I think alot of it has to do with the community you live in.

Although im not gay, I live in a very open gay community where it is accepted. Str8 people are pushed to the side here! lol.

In my experience it really depends on were you live now. But I think in general when people as a whole are happier.

When studies show 90%+ people hate their jobs and there's road rage and discount holiday shopper stampedes and stuff all about that's not really an ideal breeding ground for acceptance of anything.

I tend to think most people really don't care nor give much thought to the sexuality of Joe Blow random.
i think it is much more important to you than to the majority.
I came from Sacramento Cali. I never knew they were so oppressed until I came here.
I lived in the Lavender District for some time and never saw brutality nor discrimination toward gays.

Certainly. As those raised during the dark ages that "gay was evil" or whatever, it'll be just like any other difference among us all. Polls of youth show being homophobic is much worse than being gay ; )

Unfortunately, anything which is a minority will always be discriminated upon. If its Gays, religions or cultures, if you are a minority then you will be discriminated on..........I personally love gay girls!
