I found out that I was five weeks pregnant two weeks ago and unfortunately I lost the pregnancy a couple of days ago...I was wondering when would it be okay to try again and if my body will allow me to become pregnant again soon.

I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I had to have a D&C for a missed miscarriage almost two weeks ago. I went to the doctor yesterday for a follow-up exam (internal). He told me that I was back to normal (uterus and cervix) and the report after the D&C didn't show anything to be worried about (such as molar pregnancy) so we could go ahead and TTC again. He said that it's old advice to wait until after a period (or 3), and was given in the past because it was hard to tell when you became pregnant after a miscarriage. With advanced ultrasound technology, it's pretty easy to establish the age of the pregnancy early on, so he doesn't ask people to wait anymore. Hope this helps.

First off I just want to tell you I'm so sorry for your loss.... It is very hard to deal with, I lost twins a year and 1/2 ago. Only I had to wait longer to try again, because I had a soft ball size cyst. I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow, because it's been a year that my husband and I have been trying. I spot in between periods though. It's happened ever since the surgery. They told me it was normal 6 months ago and said I just didn't produce an egg. Now I sit here 6 months later bleeding heavier then ever. It's like I have my period all month long. So I'm going to see a different doctor tomorrow. I want a baby SO bad, and for most people who miss carry they get pregnant right away. In my case I had to have surgery so no sex. With you it should be very easy to get pregnant again. My best friend miss carried and a month later she was pregnant again. I know how your feeling, and I'm still not over the fact that happened and it's been a year. Just keep your head up, everything happens for a reason. I wish you lots of luck and good health!

So sorry for you loss, first and foremost.

Depending on what YOU feel like. According to my doctor and the Miscarriage Association, there is no evidence that a woman needs to wait any length of time before ttc after miscarriage. One of the main reasons for waiting was to more easily determine due dates. I miscarried a little over three weeks ago and was 5 wks and 3 days along. We are currently ttc...and we did speak with our OB. So, I would suggest you check out the Miscarriage Association online. It helped me feel much better.

Good luck and hope good things come your way soon! Praying for you :)

I had a miscarriage in 2005. I was told by the doctor to wait and have a normal period before trying again. I had to deal with the emotions of my miscarriage as well. Good luck and God bless you. Every thing will work out.

It really depends on what your Dr. says. Some Dr.'s say wait 3 months, some say 6 months and others say wait for a normal AF cycle.

I really THINK the Dr.'s determines how long you should wait according to your PG term and your reaction to the M/C.

All 3 times that I had a M/C they were at 5 - 6 weeks. My Dr. said that I could try again after my next normal cycle after all 3 M/C, but after my Ectopic discovered at 2 months he wanted me to wait 3 months.

I'm in the same situation. You should go with what your doctor says, but in most cases they say it's best to wait until you've had one normal period before trying again and hopefully you will get pregnant again soon! Good Luck.

I had a miscarriage in August by Feb I was pregnant again. Patience is a virtue. I waited til I had a full cycle and we were at it again. Stress plays a huge part in conceiving. It WILL happen again and you'll go full term then you'l be asking questions about parenting!! Good Luck.

I would wait one full mentstral cycle before TTC again. That way, everything will clean out and return to normal. Also, this will give you time to start to deal with the emotions that come with miscarriage. Good Luck and God Bless.

Most doctors will tell you to go ahead and try right away. Some say to wait until you've had one normal cycle. Talk to your doctor about this.
