My great grandfather's last name is Baublitz. I am doing ancestory research on the computer and cannot find out what country it is from. I am guessing somewhere in Europe?

The Bau sounds German and the blitz is Polish, so maybe he was from the former Yugoslavia.

Eastern Europe...could be German, Polish, Austrian, Yugoslavian....maybe even a bastardized name from more than one. Many surnames, including mine, were changed when immigrating.
