This is my story which i have posted on another question- When I was 14 me and my mum and dad had to stay in this huge old victorian house one night because we it was near the airport and we had an early morning flight! We arrived and me and my mum had been joking about talking about all the ghosts...I completly do not believe in them at all! I just believe they are in people imaginations and are created by, if enough people believe in them they basicallly become reality in peoples minds!
That night after out meal, I go up to our room a bit early because I am tired..it was about 10:30 pm i guess. I can't sleep and the other pass and my mum and dad have already come back and gone to bed..the room only had 3 single beds..one next to be and one the opposite side of the room...which my dad was in..my mum next to me.
The room felt very shifty..and I felt a little un easy...and had a very wispy chilly breeze..but I dont believe in ghost so I thogught nothing of it! So im laying there with my eyes shut tryin to sleep and I wake up and my dad at the end of my mums bed just in some trousers leaning over and looking at her...and i said "dad what are you doing" I knew it was him..there was a man there, i could see his grey outline of his body and his movent clearly...i said "dad?" again...! and I looked over to his bed and he was fast asleep...my stomach flipped...i looked back and it was gone!
also...my friends dad had just put a new light switch on the wall one day and the light switch kept flicking on and off..on its own..i mean the acctually light switch was going on and off...and when they walked over to it..it would stop and where they walked back started flicking on and off again!
RANDOM lol

I never saw a ghost, nor believed in them, until I was 16. What I saw, confirmed to me forever that there is something out there. I don't know if it is spirit, a ghost of someone that used to live on Earth, or just some sort of energy trapped here, but there IS something.
Since that time I have been searching and searching for more instances so that I can confirm something. I have seen maybe since that time (nearly 30 years ago) 3 or 4 things that I cannot explain. It has become an obsession of mine to the point that I have joined a Ghost Hunting group in my town.
Watch Ghost Hunters on Wednesday nights on SciFi. That's the sort of thing our group does -- although we're not as well funded as them and don't have as much equipment.
So there's my 2 cents.

I've experienced many apparitions ever since I was a child. Mostly it's been routine cold spots, chills, fuzzy orbs of light and the like. Two were very memorable to me, though, because they were distinctly human-ish:
I used to live in a house that was quite "haunted". That is to say, everyone who stayed there even for a night would witness something paranormal. Most of the time it was just footsteps down the hall or incoherent whispering, telly switching on and off, that sort of thing. Well, one morning I awoke to a grey man (yes, his skin was grey) wearing a suit and a derby. He was standing over my bed and just staring. At first I thought I was dreaming, but I realised I was wide awake. I shut my eyes and when I opened them again he had vanished. Later I found out that our neighbours (the houses were very old, kind of village style, and we shared a yard) had seen a similar apparition underneath a tree in the yard several times.
I was once at a friend's family home in the countryside. It is a very old estate home that dates back to around the late 18th century. I was on my own in one of the upstairs rooms combing my hair in the mirror and in the reflection I saw a black shadow shaped like a person floating down the hall. I turned and it stopped as soon as it came to the doorway and just stood "looking" at me. I said very calmly that I would be done with the room in a moment if it would just let me be for now (in retrospect, I think that I really only spoke because speaking was a way to focus on something so that I could keep my wits about me). When I said those words it disappeared. I gathered my stuff and I swear, I don't spook easily but I have never moved so fast in my life. LOL.

No, but I do believe in them. And I love the Resurrection Mary story. I used to have this Unsolved Mysteries Club where we would discuss unsolved phenomenon and we were saving up to go there(we needed to stay in a hotel) but we never got to go... You just gave me a great idea of what I should do over the weekend! Since I live a half an hour away from Archer Road I'll just invite my bff to sleepover and we should go to Archer Road at midnight and check it out! Thanks!
Oh! And I'm hoping to someday go down the street James Dean was killed and hopefully see his ghost!

I was the captain of a dive boat not far off the coast of Kipahulu (Maui) Hawaii, floating at about a depth of 80 feet. It was late at night or early in the morning, and I was alone on board with three lobster divers in the water (they stay even closer to the shore at about 20 to 40 feet). I watch their lights bob in the water constantly, waiting for their signals to retrieve them.
What I saw seemed to be an Angel. It was huge, like 25 feet high, slightly glowing, with great big wings, not spread out, just sitting there on it's back. It didn't linger, it was there and then it was gone. It was creepy as hell, but I also got the feeling not to be frightened. I mean, it wasn't beautiful, it was ugly/creepy. I was just in awe, but knew not to tell anyone.
When the divers got back on board they were telling me how one of them got into trouble down there in the water (right about the same time and place as that 'Angel').

I think I did, once when I was about 4 years old. I saw some
feet going up the stairs. I was scared and ran to my mom who
doesn't believe in ghosts. She said my mind was just playing tricks on me. I didn't believe her and sometimes I feel like some-
one is watching me. My house is 100 years old and I think it might be the ghost of the previous owner who died here. I can't belive that I have a family of skeptics.

about the 1 that nearly killed me, when i was 6 i was outside and we were having a barbique, i was standing by our pond (i always thorght i was sitting on the wall and fell in) but aparantly i was thrown in by something, my mum watched me get lifted and thrown into the pond, and they couldnt pull me out for 20-30 seconds
ive woken up with scratches over me (not from sleepwalking (ive done tests/videos etc) woken up to see things watching me, had ghosts watch me during the day, follow me around, watch me by my door, turn off/on tv's, make my bulbs flicker when they come in, watch me piss (yes, there is 1 in my loo which watches me use the toilet) 1s broken my shoulder etc etc
i still see them now, im not exactly scared of them (never was) but why they hate me i dont know XD

I have seen the lady that was walking along Archer ave and I also stopped to assist her and I watch my back car door open and felt like someone was getting in my back seat and close the door but there was no one there... That incident did get a huge scary oh no feeling out of me.......... And I don't give a rats hair how they try to explain away that railroad crossing but something was pushing my car across those tracks........ I also felt sad for to kids that were killed in that school bus but they are dedicated to saving anyone lives that get stuck on that railroad crossing...........

yes I believe in them now, I really didn't before, but the house we live in now I believe there is something or someone here with us all the time, strange things happen that you can't explain. And when I took pictures I captured some echo mist formation in two different places of the house. But stuff doesn't happen day to day it comes and goes. So I believe in ghosts, and never say never because it could happen to you

ever since i was little i always saw this woman standing at the bottom of my bed. one day my mom was going through old pictures and i told her the woman in the one picture was who i saw when i was little, and she ended up telling me that the woman used to live in this house years ago and she died here and now every once in awhile i'll hear someone whisper my name, or tap my on the shoulder and no one will be there. one night i was walking into my bathroom and the light was out but i saw a shadow like figure walking towards me through the glare of the moonlight, i put my hand out thinking it was my sister but this thing stopped and looked me directly in my eyes with this sad look and passed right through me. it felt like the wind was knocked out of me for a second and she went in the direction of my bedroom. i know people are going to say t his never happened, but it did, so all the haters and non-believers can step off.
