hi i am having trouble with a name for my filly. i have narrowed my list down to 2 names. Shaila ( shea luh ) or Shaina( shea nuh) i really like both but i would like your opinion on which one you like most and why.

brandi i was thinking the exact same thing. it amazes me that when i say filly the ignore that and still think it is a girl.

OMG!!!!! YOU GOT A BABY HORSE!!!!WHEN?!?!?!? TELL ALL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!CALL!!!
Shaila sounds more like a bay horse and Shaina sounds like a cream lotion which sounds good for a light coated horse. I personally love both. BUT I did some research and here's what they mean-

I like the name Shaila best but I think Shaina is easier to say. So I don't know.

I like Shaila. I know quite a few Shaina/Shayna's. No Shaila's though. It's really pretty.

ok...I'm glad I read brandi's comment, because I didn't know what a "filly" was.( Now I just feel silly, because I've heard that before) LOL!

I would go with Shaina...because it means beautiful
(Shaila means Loyal to god, strong...which is good too)

Shaila is better than shaina but I think the best one is keitra.

I love them both but i like Shaila a little better. Can i suggest changing the spelling to Sheila though? I wonder how many people know your naming a horse and not a baby. Good luck and i hope this helps!
