i thin k some of it refera to jesus in heaven n thatat he would die for jesus and every body else in the worldi think thats what he means when he says" hey miss murder could i make beauty stay if i take my life" and refering to everybody on earth as the beatuy and make them stay until death like jesus did 4 us and i dont really think of miss murder as a person more of like a thing to do or a inanimate object or thing and that is a tight song

I've always wondered that too. But it doesn't have one specific meaning. Davey writes lyrics that anyone can relate to. When they relate to it, they can decide what it means to them. He doesn't like to attach specific meanings to AFI songs. Growing up, the music he listened to always had attached meanings and he could never relate to the songs because of that.

I think it means someone that lost a family member they really loved is thinking about committing suicide, but they would rather have someone kill them which is Miss Murder. And he/she is asking Miss Murder, if they die can the beauty and all the good people stay.

I also heard there was a hidden message.

http://www.songmeanings.net is a great website you can use to look up lyrics and meanings to pretty much any song. Users submit their ideas about what a song means; usually there are some pretty good answers.

One of the answers on "Miss Murder" said this:
I think it's pretty clear that Miss Murder isn't referring to a person but to a death. It kinda sounds like someone Davey had a lot of faith in/cared about/looked up to is gone and Davey and everyone else is left feeling empty and are now contemplating what to do (suicide?)

Another user said:
As for the song, sounds to me like an idol who believes in the "better to burn out than fade away" theory. "Miss Murder" to me is death itself, and he's asking her if dying now would immortalise him in the eyes of those who adore him, so he can be forever young, forever beautiful, forever adored. However, in the end verse beginning "What's the rift" it kind of sounds like it's all backfired on him, that in death he's faded from most people's memories, it's the speaker "searching for what [he was] promised" after death. Or perhaps it's not even a physical death, just a departure from the limelight. He's constantly reaching but he's in enforced solitude, with nothing but the cold and rain for company... yet he can't forget how it was to be universally admired and adored.

I hope that helps!

i'm not exactly sure what the song means but i heard it was a subliminal message so my friend said some of the lyrics backwards and she got this out of it... the chorus line "hey miss murder can i" backwards is "i can murder miss hey" and if u say miss hey quick enough it sounds like missy.
