People are way more aware of these occurances than you may think. The information is out there, just as it was back in the Vietnam era when people were protesting against the war and government corruption. The main difference was that people took their protests to the streets by the hundreds of thousands to have their voices heard. Now people sit on computers and debate the morale problems with society. it's a much less extreme, and much less effective, measure.
My answer is that people are already beginning to see the light of what is really going on around us, and are busy spreading the information accordingly. It is almost impossible not to see the evil around us and how it is negativly shaping our futures. The real QUESTION is "Who will be the first one to make a stand?"
Edit: For all you people with Matrix references, maybe you should realize the hidden meaning behind movies like this. Check out Rage Against the Machine's song "Wake Up".
Edit #2: For anyone else who thinks this topic is BS, pick up a book by Noam Chomsky, a very respectable professor at MIT.

Don’t hold your breadth. Most of the civilized world – by that I mean the nations of Europe – have united against the fiasco that is Iraq, and the machinations of our wayward administration. Of course, as well intentioned as these people are, they are ineffectual because they are not part of an electorate, which is in control of the most powerful military in the world. The people with that honor are American citizens.
Until the people the of United States ban together, and forcefully implore that our government cease and desist against the vile practices that it is currently involved in, all the “Give Peace a Chance” chants said the world over will amount to nothing.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, it'll happen when people can't buy their lottery tickets, beer or sit in front of the TV on Friday nights pretending that everything is alright.
Some amazing answers, as usual. There are none so blind as those who won't see.

Probably never, as the vast majority you speak of are complacent, & don't take the time to understand the complexity of the issues you mentioned. I think common sense is gone from politics at a time when we sorely need it.

No-ones going to consent to wearing a microchip in their arm.
Indeed the very people who voted for Bush would probably see that as a sign of the Beast of Revelation.

I find it hard that these beliefs are the vast majority. I do not see a concept of one world government coming from the current administration and last time I checked we were still a free people with the ability to elect whom we choose that doesn't seem like fascism to me. But oh well it is your rant have a great day.

Absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event like Iraq, the good people will remain divided.

Still crying over Bush's victory in 2000 is a weak and lame argument. And look up the word fascism apparently you do not know the meaning

If you are saying there are good people in the world, then you must recognize there are also bad people. For there can be no good without bad, and no bad without good. I would start by eliminating the bad people. The good people in your head can differ from the good in my head. You are not much of a humanist, but more of an elitist to generalize human beings this way.
Edit: Why do you hate America and our Constitution. People wake up to this trolls posts. The US Supreme Court found Bush to be the winner of the 2000 election. Get over it. That was before any Bush appointed judges. If you do not like or agree with how our constitution works, then vote to change it. Until then accept defeat like you love to do, and get over it.
