every time I see a question about the iraq war, it is usually blaming the republicans or the democrats etc. etc. what about the CIA? weren't they the ones who gave the wrong information?
they were also the ones behind the bay of pigs deal way back in the kennedy times. no i'm not giving you a history lesson. but let's stop blaming the parties.

It wasn’t the CIA’s idea to invade Iraq. That was Bush’s idea. The Bush administration changed the policy from containment to one of invasion and occupation.

The UN inspectors were still in Iraq, not finding any WMDs, when Bush’s invasion forced them to leave.

The CIA gave the President correct information warning of the 9/11 attack. Bush stated...and I quote "OK, you covered your ***". Then did nothing.

The CIA's funding was cut throughout the Clinton years and was forced to focus on electronic systems rather than human involvement. I thus blame both parties..the Dems for weakening the CIA and the GOP for ignoring them. As far as the "Bay of Pigs"...that was fourty years ago..get over it.

Not every agency said there were WMD's, the British's Rockingham Project stated they doubted there existance.

Here is an interesting nugget. Who did the President of Iraq (until 2005) work for before becoming President?

Ahmed Chabali was on the CIA payroll from 1992 til 2005

The CIA was set up all along to take the fall when WMD proved to be non-existant. I said this 4 1/2 years ago when Powell made his speech at the UN.

Ummm..no, the CIA told Bush that the intel he got from the brits, was most likley inaccurate.
and no, not every country in the world said Saddam had WMDs, that is also misinformation.
If you remember right, Wilson was on his way to check out the allegations that Saddam was seeking to purchase yellow Cake from Nigeria when Plame's identity was given to reporters to shut him up.

The Bush administration ordered the inspectors out when they started reporting that there was no evidence of an weapons program. the invasion shortly followed.

I blame the CIA for training and arming Bin Laden during the Russian occupation of Afghanistan.

It was a total fuster cluck from the very beginning. Everybody had the wrong intelligence or someone did one heck of a good job of hiding the WMD. Every intelligence agency in the world said Iraq had WMDs not just the CIA.

speaking of the bay of pigs, why did they not get the air support they were promised? And people think JFK was such a hero.
