Yes, I sought help with my Gyn after only trying for 2 months and then went to an RE after trying for 9 months. However, I knew I would have problems due to PCOS, hypothyroidism, and anovulation.

Yes. Women under 35 should seek medical advice after a year of unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant. Women over 35 should go to the doctor after 6 months. There are many options available in terms of fertility treatment. Good luck.

We started fertility treatment after a year of trying. We are now going to do IVF at the end of the year. It is best to know what is causing your inability to conceive. There are many more treatments available then years ago and more help out there.

I would go to my doctor and get a basic workup. An ultrasound exam to determine if all plumbing is there and appears to be in working order. Also have hubby's sperm checked. After that, I'd make an appointment with a fertility specialist. They go much more in depth to determine the problem rather than throwing darts at a wall (often the way of many ob/gyns).

Yes I would, and I did. Tried naturally 1 year, then went through the steps of the fertility process. Right now in the middle of IVF with my husband. TTC 3 years.
Recommend to you to get a consultation and tested, both you and the partner, to determine possible causes.
Best of luck.

Personally, no. I did try taking Clomid for one month after ttc for 6 months and had side effects so I decided not to take again.
It's now been almost a year, and we are just letting nature take it's course. I leave it up to God and if I am supposed to get pg then I will, and if not, then he has good reason, so I'm not going to force it to happen with in-vitro or other infertility treatments.
If not, then we'll adopt.

It depends on a lot of things such as your age (if you're in your early 20s then give it more time if you're in your 30s then don't wait too long); also consider the costs of IVF; have you and your partner been thoroughly tested? There are a lot of other options besides IVF such as IUI and fertility drugs to speed things along. Hope that helps and good luck to you.

no i would first go and see my GYNO and see what he/she has to offer first ! Those fertillity treatments are about 8000$ a pop and that is a lot of money! Consider that you can also adopt . But thry your doctors first to find out the cause

I think if i was diagnosed with a particular problem yes.. but if we just weren't getting pregnant and they couldn't find a reason I would probably just start adopting and figure that it wasn't meant to be...

Before you spend the money on that I would consult your doctor. Good luck to you!! I've only been trying a year and I'm going to see my doc tomorrow.
