I live in Orlando, FL and I'm trying to gain more clients for my cleaning business. I have used craigslist religiously to post ads. I am planning on passing out flyers door to door today as well. Any other advice as to how to get people to contact me?

Get a first customer and they will refer you to friends if they are happy. Post on bulletin boards in stores.

ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE. Pass out flyers of course and maybe do a promotion, give a discount for a certain length of time, or issue a drawing for a free cleaning. That way you can show them what you can do and get it going. If you clean say an office and do a good job, somebody is going to tell. And you can always ask them if they know anybody who would be interested. Keep your business cards handy...you are gonna need them. Much success to you!

Put an ad in the newspapers in towns where you would be willing to drive to in order to work your business. It worked for me years ago when I did the same thing.
