I find it hard to accept that one could be so unhappy and thus leads to unfriendliness. Other than constant financial problems, relationships etc, I'm wondering is it because it's caused by the way they are being brought or by the media always making news that strike fear into people...If theres a reason, I'm thinking if theres a solution

It might just depend on where you are and when. People in crowded cities are more attuned to the need for psychological "space" because there is no physical space. If you intrude into that private area in the wrong fashion, you might rudeness. Note that the word "rude" is embedded in the word "intrude".

In rural areas, the space is there so once you establish yourself as someone meaning no harm, you will get help. My son was taking pictures in an IRA training camp a while back and got out alive by pointing out that he was a lost traveler taking pictures of the lovely countryside.

That being said, I tend to give extra help to lost individuals by (if I am in my car) having them follow me to highway entrances, etc. and then doubling back to my original path. I have had that done for me overseas. I've also had a panhandler ask for money for bus fare back home. I declined handing over money but offered the person a ride there (about 125 miles). If nothing else, being nice can confuse people.

A more accurate question would be what causes some people to be unfriendly and rude sometimes. Everyone has good days, bad days, and in between days. In my experience most people are friendly and polite most of the time. I am 62 and have worked with the public for more than 45 yrs. Believe me I have had lots of experience with all kinds of people.

This has not been my experience. Have you evaluated your attitude? While many people are preoccupied with required activities, very few I have interacted with were unfriendly or rude. Those that were, I just let them go first in the check out line, let them go first in traffic, or just accepted their behavior. None of us can be pleasant all the time. Even You.

BECAUSE THEY ARE APES. APES ARE NOT FRIENDLY TO OTHER APES OUTSIDE OF THEIR GROUP. APES ARE TERRITORIAL. APES REACT TO THEIR ADENALINE, THEY DO NOT MEDIATE IT BY THINKING. 90% OF SO-CALLED "HUMAN BEINGS" ARE REALLY TALKING APES. Some are lower on the evolutionary scale than apes. About 5% are higher beings to different degrees. There are some that are too friendly. Do you like them? I don't. They are either phonies or psychos. Reality is both beautiful and ugly. In modern times, when it comes to humans it is mostly ugly. These apes masquerading as "humans" should not be allowed to reproduce.

I think your wrong, it's fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of the person they're meeting, the way they'll be treated, fear of what might be said, they won't have the answers, etc, the list goes on.

Selfishness!! People are rude and unfriendly because they are not concerned with anyone but themselves.

I think its feelings of being unsure, people don't know how to react to certain situations so they get angry. I know because I'm one of them.
