What is the waiting period for the state to go after someone for not paying thousands of dollars in child support.

This person who hasn't paid child support in years, keeps filing disability... gets rejected... and files again in the state we are currently in (Indiana). In Indiana, before the child support people can do anything about the payments, one can be denied and reapply for SSI disability. Even though this person will probably never get SSI disability, she'll never have to pay child support as long as she keeps pending applications for SSI because of the loophole.

HELP!

I am afraid that there is nothing you can do ,my brother in law has been doing this for yrs in the state of Michigan and they keep telling my sister as long as he is filing for disability they have to wait for that to go through before they can file for child support . Her worker is not very nice about it either . she told my sister to just get a job and not worry about child support cause chances are she will not get it anyway and he owes so much right now she would never see half of it anyway. good luck .

the quantity of money that he will pay in newborn help is promptly regarding the variety of nights that his newborn spent with him. His ex spouse is amazingly sensible, yet she has already broke the regulation. he's meant to have his newborn with him as according to the divorce decree. She needs extra money, then, he can ask to have his newborn extra time with him, have faith me, she would be in a position to withdraw her action for extra newborn help. He can act as professional Se ( Latin) self represent in court.

My advice is to contact an attorney. Your situation is too complicated to anyone to answer without the necessary expertise.
