depends on the state,

becasue she is 17 and he's 12 (if i read correctly) she still can get into trouble...
i don't know to what degree, but some state laws on internet soliciatation is strange and complex..
just tell your friend to knock it off....
cause there is some intenitons of mischeif here since she has to know he's 12... and not mentality not old enough, and the fact some state do prosecute 17 yrs as adults...

especially if she's close to 18 by months

It is still wrong, but I am not sure if she could be turned in if she is still 17, she is also still considered a minor. Now if she turns 18, this could be considered molestation. How old are you? Can you tell your parents for some advice as well? Maybe her parents need to find out, or his need to know.

Well, sending naked pictures of people under 18 is child pornography, and when she turns 18 she'll be guilty of soliciting a minor. She's pretty sick to be doing this anyway. You might want to tell your friend's parents or a teacher to protect your friend from getting in trouble or getting hurt. Better safe than sorry!

She's probably not 17 and she's probably not even a girl. He needs to block those emails and get the heck off the internet before this perp really comes after him.

It's time to tell the parents what's been going on. Your friend is too young to be on the computer and he's going to let bad things happen to him.

Try to talk to that girl and tell her that thats just sick to say that to a 12 year old, espeshily if they are 17. And if she still doesn't liston, then you should tell your parents or you friends parents.

Maybe you could try talking to her about it since you are her friend. If that don't work, you could always alert her parents to her behavior. IT's better to catch it now before she tries to meet someone off the internet and gets herself into some major trouble.....

they both are minors true but there is a thing that shes about to turn 18. find out if she is serious about your friend because she might be just playing/teasing him i dont think it might be a "real" relationship that she wants with him, but just in case talk to the people involved

I think it totally inappropriate. if you know who she is, talk to her otherwise first talk to the 12yr old kiddie. Set him straight. Tell him to stick with the age appropriate things, video games, sports et. al.

good luck !
