I have wrote a few questions about my engine running a little hot - since, I have cleaned out the heat exchanger, and replaced the impellor on the water pump, cleaned the water grate or filter between the pick up and pump - but it still seems to be running at about 185 - water is pumping out of the exhaust great - better then I have ever seem it - coolant level seems fine, what could be the issue?

Have you measured the temp. with a thermometer. I use an infrared thermometer and point it at the where the thermostat is. I have two Lehman 120s and the one reads 220 deg. at the gauge but is actually running at 180. I need to correct this by changing out the sender but at least I know the temp is okay.
If you temp. is really high your next step may be the thermostat.

When you cleaned the heat ex did you clean the antifreeze side it gets a film on it & rust in it an dosen't let the heat tranfer. Have you changed the thermastate. Question are you able to turn up max rpm.under load Also is the eng running this hot or is the guage reading this hot. change senders.Maybe guage. Add a second 1.Here is a test with the eng running at temp feel the heat ex the incoming side will be cold & the discharge should be real hot if not than your ex is not tranfering heat. The antifree side might be pluged with rust from years of usage, i have had to replace them cleaning only works for a short time. Hope this helps.

oftentimes conversing street automobiles with decrease than 2 liters of displacement are no longer cool. except it particularly is a 6+ liter rapid diesel in a truck, diesels are no longer cool. except your Escort is an RS type, then it particularly is not any longer cool. possibilities are high you would be laughed at loudly. Ipersistent a vehicle with a 4.6L petrol V8 with a supercharger. and that i'm getting comments approximately having a small engine from the adult adult males with 6.0-7.0+ liter V8s. it particularly is humorous to think of that around the pond something over a 2 liter engine is seen "vast"
