I don't know if it can be considered a fear, but since I lost my last living grandparent, I am terrified of losing my parents. My grandmother died when I was 26 and I'm 38 now. I don't actively worry about my parents, but it's at the back of my mind a lot of the time. I know that death is a part of life, but as they get older, this is getting closer to reality.

If my brother came down with lung cancer from my dad's smoking. I wouldn't breakdown, but something inside would snap and die.
