i went to petco and asked for inforisio for my betta babies...but they gave me a pack called NEW BORN for all kinds of newborn fish. would this work if i feed them?

Maybe. It's certainly not the best thing to feed them, but it may be your only option. The best foods for newly free swimming bettas is infusoria and micro worms. If you don't have that available, then go with the prepackaged food.

Yes it should work. I use First Bites by Hikari with the infusoria. And then continue to feed it along with the microworms. You can start your own culture by using some tank water and placing lettuce in a container with the water. When it turns a whitish looking color you have infusoria.

influsia is mirco organism that are found in plant water for baby bettas.

Dry powder goods are ok for feeding baby bettas, but very small amounts. Very easily to overfeed them a pollute the tank.

It should - another thing you can try is fry food. I don't know if they sell it at PetCo but they do at PetSmart, and it's specifically formulated for fry. It's called Hikari "First Bites" and it's tiny particules of food perfectly sized for babies. I used it when my Betta's bred and it worked great.
