That's not surprising at all, given that America has been involved in a war in Iraq that had nothing to do with the war on terror.
If the Bush administration really had the intent to wipe out Al-Qaeda, they could have done so as they never lacked the military capability for doing so. Instead they spent hundereds of billions of dollars in a worthless cause. Six years after 9/11, the mastermind behind the attacks, Osama Bin Laden still hasn't been caught!! And if someone asks Bush for the reason why, he'd simply reply - "Because he's hiding !". Man he's one intelligent president LOL !!
I think Bush has failed us all miserably in the two terms that he's been president. And now the rest of the world hates us even more than before.
And no, the democrats aren't any better either. What America needs in 2008 is an independent candidate who's got the will and the scruples to do something to end this conflict once and for all. I wish Lou Dobbs would run for president in '08.

We've been getting reports for a long time that Al Queda has doubled in size since we invaded Iraq. The recent reports show what many people believe to be true is indeed true. That while we linger in Baghdad policing a civil war, Al Queda has had free reign to regroup in the outer areas of Iraq and the Taliban is operating freely in Afghanistan. The small groups of Al Queda that mix in with the factions in Baghdad are an effective diversion from their dedicated operations in other areas. The damage that George Bush has created with his incompetence and mismanagement of this war is going to cost all of us dearly if we continue to keep our eyes only on Baghdad, as Bush wishes us to do.

Read the truth.....
Al Qaeda is "considerably operationally stronger than a year ago" and has "regrouped to an extent not seen since 2001," said a counterterrorism official who spoke on condition of anonymity with The Associated Press, paraphrasing the report's conclusions.

It would seem every American with a brain knows this apart from our President and the brain dead lemmings that you find on here at Yahoo.....
Do people not understand that Al-Quaeda is not like the formalized military.... These are individuals as diverse as Lawyers, doctors, janitors and school bus drivers..... Bush's war is a fallacy.. It will never defeat them militarily and therefore this is time for a new strategy... not the same old buying time until he is out of office. We are the ones that will suffer whilst the chimp suns himself in one of his thousand new properties this false war for oil has paid for.

Reports are made by one or two people and the liberal media thinks it has as much merit as hundreds of people. I don't believe any one single source when it comes to reports like this. If all major news media say the same thing then I believe it with some question but if we actually knew that they were regrouping, wouldn't we do something about it with...I don't know...A BOMB?

Wow. What a surprise. Bush blew off the hunt for al Qaeda to go hunt the man who tried to kill Daddy. As a result, al Qaeda was able to bounce back.

We gave them the opportunity to train for combat and hone their car bombing experience in Iraq in Iraq that they never had before. The tens of thousands of mothers and fathers we've killed in Iraq have turned tens of thousands of kids into militants that hate us that never did before.
It's probobly twice the pre 9/11 levels. Duh!
Ever see the bumper sticker "we are creating enemies faster than we can kill them"? Duh number two.

Hello,
Is this actually military intelligence or press speculation?
I guess it doesn't really matter. Whenever there is a cause with a lot of followers, for every one we kill off, there are ten willing to take his place.

George Bush just told me this morning, that as long as we have troops in Iraq, we don't have to worry about fighting them here.
