YES ! If Iraq invaded the U.S. would we have a right to resists? If any country invaded the U.S. would we have a right to resist? BY ALL MEANS - I would think and hope that every able bodied person, man woman, old and young, regardless of race and religion, would resist such an invasion.

First in response to other's answers..

"An insurgency, or insurrection, is an armed uprising, or revolt against an established civil or political authority"

The insurgents ARE IRAQI.. They are people defending their homeland. They are people who are revolting against the government that the United States established in iraq.

The military, go to PEOPLE'S HOUSES looking for insurgents... Meaning.. they live there.

If China invades Iraq, yes, the iraqi have the right to resist.. America would be right next to the iraqi people, handing them weapons...

The real question is... Would you be in insurgent against the american government, when the corruption and abuse of power get to a point past repair? When FEMA, starts sending americans to concentration camps after asuming full control(http://www.freedomfiles.org/war/fema.htm)

(if the camps were really for disasters and national emergencies, why were they not used after katrina?)

Hi Ringo....You are correct in one aspect...Most of the foreigners in Iraq are Americans. Now as to Iraq in resisting, first of all, I don't see China invading Iraq...for what purpose? China as far as I know, has no interest in Iraq especially invading it's country. China is known for it's huge military forces, more than probably the US has or even thought about. Now with this in mind however, if China decided to invade Iraq (why I don't know) then Iraq should resist knowing the military strength that China has. But realistically speaking, I don't see this happening. The United States went to Iraq for the purpose of catching Saddam and reducing the Al Queda movement. We have already succeeded on one account. The United States didn't invade Iraq for any other purpose. In fact we didn't actually invade, we sent our troops to assist the Iraq's defense against those who wanted to invade their country. But as for China invading Iraq...I don't see this happening. Have a great day!

the insurgents have no rights.. Most are from Iran, Libya, Saudi etc... their goal is to take over Iraq while the government is weak and make it a safe haven for terrorist..Their first step is to turn the US citizens against the surge , causing the US to pull out leaving a weak government . If you will research you will find that is exactly what happened in Vietnam.. Due to all the protesting and fear of not being re-elected, the US pulled out the soldiers leaving a very new and weak government which was easily conquered. North Vietnam took over (with China's help) massacred millions and enslaved the rest ..remember, that's whose blowing everyone up over there... Not the Iraqi civilians..

If China had invaded Iraq, they atleast would've gotten oil cheap. We invaded Iraq, and look what happened!

We invaded them, and gave them more money to build it all back up. Why invade in the first place if you are going to rebuild every thing? Oh yes.. then the contractors who paid millions to politicians cannot be paid off!! How stupid of me.

I think Air anti-America isn't telling you the truth. We are not fighting Iraqi's, we are fighting those who are hurting the peaceful citizens who voted for change. Don't forget Iraq wants and voted for their chance to be free. Others in the area want control over the country to spread their hate. We are not at war, in war, or fighting peaceful Iraqi citizens. To answer your question, they would have no rights. See they would still be under a dictatorship as they were. Only now, and not under Saddam, do the Iraqi's have any "Rights".

If they invaded to take over and make Iraq their country. But that is not what America has done.

We kicked out a dictator who was torturing & supressing his people. And then we allowed the country to elect it's own people.

And who is resisting?

The only Iraqis resisting are either those who benifited from Saddam, or those brainwashed into thinking they are protecting Islam by killing our soldiers.

Most of the "insurgents" are coming from Iran. They are foriegn fighters lead by those who want to get rid of us so they can take over Iraq.
