If God wants gays and lesbians to not unite, why would he allow State Sanctioned Gay Marriages to happen here in Massachusetts?

There are some things that are just too important to be left up to the voting public - Constitutional rights issues, namely.

There were a lot of people who voted for segregation and 'separate but equal' in the 1950s and 1960s. That didn't make racism right, and the Supreme Court upheld the Constitution, and mandated equal educational rights for all races.

Similarly, I can't wait for a same-gender marriage case to go before the Supreme Court, so that the Constitution can be upheld, and equal marriage rights given to all US Citizens. [Note those who would ban same-gender marriages would have to AMEND the Constitution to support their hatreds.]

As a Christian, I am very proud of Massachusetts. I am hoping the rest of the states mature in wisdom.

Hey - remember when we had slaves, and woman couldn't vote or own property? Remember when they said it was okay because the Bible said that WAS the right thing to do? But the USA eventually matured and DID the right thing.

Why do you seem to think that religious belief means homophobia? It is easy for a Christian, reading the words of Jesus, to accept the variety in which God makes people.

Minority rights should not be put on the ballot, they should be granted without reservation. Bigotry is immoral.

wow, now God's getting blamed for the political situation. He gives free choice. We choose to serve or not serve Him. Those that choose to not serve God are the ones that make Gay unions possible.
