I don't know your reasons for emigrating, however, if you have decided that emigrating to Australia is for you then Brisbane is one of the better large cities to choose.
The pace of life is slower and I find the people friendlier and more easy going here then in Sydney and Melbourne. The climate is also more moderate. All Eastern sea board capital cities offer reasonably good job opportunities (check your particular area of interest at an employment site like www.seek.com.au or www.mycareer.com.au). Rents asnd house prices are generally more affordable in Brisbane than Sydney/ Melbourne or Adelaide.
While not as sophisticated culturally as Sydney and Melbourne, Brisbane still has plenty of avenues for recreation and relaxation. The price of living is cheaper.
Its certainly the easiest capital city to get started in. Once established you could try visiting other capitals and country areas to assess their suitability before moving.

just2rood is a knob. Brissy is a great place. I live about 45 minutes from the city and I love going there. The climate is great, the city is busy and beautiful. One of the nicer cities I have been to. It is on a river, the botanical gardens are beautiful. There are no ruins, so I am not sure where he got that from. Lots of new buildings and also some beautiful heritage ones as well. It is a great mix of old and new. A very pretty place and the nights are busy too.
Not far from Brisbane is the Gold Coast (about an hour) lots of high rises, night life, beaches...long golden sand. If you love the busy, beachy nightlifey type of place, you will love the Gold Coast. An hour North of Brisbane is the Sunshine Coast. Steve Irwin's Zoo, beautiful beaches....none better in my opinion, classy shopping malls, beautiful mountainous hinterland.
Go for it. Come over! Email me if you want to know more!!!

The only good thing you'd have is at the great footie at The Gabba, otherwise Brissy can be rubbish including the summer heat. Have a look at the Coffs to Newcastle section of the NSW coast.
And there's more work opportunities in Sydney, Melbourne and Aelaide. Or Perth over there in WA.
Happy landings!
PS Don't go alone.

What a mind-blowing theory. in elementary terms some issues: a million. the closest black hollow is 1500 gentle years away. We havent even been to Mars. Transporting adult males to mars would value approximately 20 billion funds. Why not keep lots of funds and do the Christian concern. declare them to be witches. Tie their palms and legs mutually and throw them a procedures out at sea. it truly is easily regular that witches drift. in the event that they drown they are harmless. for the reason that they'll ALL drown it truly is info that their souls are being stored. This answer is Win-Win. stable for us, stable for them. 2. gadgets thrown right into a black hollow would continuously seem to be entering the form horizon. For eternity. You on no account get to verify the destruction and dying, nor are you able to take heed to the screams. right here is yet another theory: toss them off the cliff of the grand canyon. you're able to have the skill to take heed to them scream each and every of ways down, and on impact they'll make a maximum relaxing "plop" sound. If god unearths them harmless they are in a position to enhance wings on the way down and for that reason be stored. and that i'm constructive some scientific purpose must be rationalized for this bloodbath. possibly hourly demonstrations of the end results of gravity. stable healthful and academic relatives entertainment is geared up for each individual!!

Where from?? Have you been there before??
I've travelled to many countries and cities, and Brisbane was one of the least attractive.
The Gold Coast attracts many, but as for the city itself, much of it is vacant, in ruin, or just plain lifeless. But for the mall in the centre of the city, there is no vibrancy at all. The city also seems to shut down dead at 10-11pm, but for the valley, which is to be blunt, a bit of a hole!
This is just my experience though, and I'm sure some one reading this will have an opposite view of the city etc., but personally, I've seen far far more attractive areas than Brisbane on my travels.
Depends on your reasons, and what you're looking for.
