Well it was as expected. People who support the front in Iraq can just say YES, the people who don't support this country or the war have to be snarky or disingenious. Special shout out to BarB; you say that we never had ANY chance to win, not even a scintilla just like Vietnam. I guess you protested in Vietnam and you still haven't learned anything. The military won in Vietnam, the politicians gave it away with pressure from people like you. Does it make you feel young to do it again. Except this time the Islamists are going to come for you and your grandchildren. You may not live to see the day when your granddaughters are forced to wear body coverings from head to toe but there are people looking forward to that day. I sincerely hope you can get your head screwed on right and get away from your hatred of Bush. This is bigger than who is in the White House. Get into the fight.

WANT has no bearing upon it.

We NEED to win the Battle of Iraq.

Why do some keep calling it a war. We defeated Saddam's army years ago.
What we have now, in Iraq, is two groups of religious nuts, trying to kill each other, to determine the rightful heir to Muhammad.
They have been at each other's throats for a thousand years, and will continue killing long after we leave.
However, a democratic government there is the best hope for peace there and in the entire world.
It may well be worth our sacrifices to help their democracy survive.

yes- but winning isn't free so the question should be "how much do you want to win". War like other government programs is subject to a cost benefit analysis. So far the US has been unwilling to commit the resources it would take to win.

I don't know what your definition of winning is, but I say YES, I want to win the war in Iraq. This is based off my definition of winning.

There is no "winning" in Iraq-never was..... Everyone loses on this one....just like Vietnam.
