Of course. He helped the AL take the lead. He got on base every time he was up. He hit, like you said, the all star game's first inside the park hr (that ball is in the hall of fame now). He provided the initial spark for the AL. Now people say he's not worthy of 20million a year from the mariners with that contract extension. He def. deserves it cuz w/o him, the mariners are so wack. So im just sayin he deserved both.

Yea, I mean he hit the first ever inside the park HR in the All Star Game History. He didn't even get out once. Plus, his team won anyway.

Not sure what you mean by should he have won it, he did!!!
Did he deserve it? Of course.
It really doesn't take a monster day to win the All Star MVP because someone has to, but he certainly was deserving of it.
Now, he can work on his 2nd league MVP.
Since Seattle would be a LOT worse without him than say the Yankees would without Arod.

When he hit the inside-the-park homer, I knew that he would be the MVP. He deserved it, history was made that night.
