Carolina had an amazing draft. Jon Beason is surely going to get a starting job and is insurance for Dan Morgan being that we have Na'il Diggs and James Anderson available to fill in also. They also picked up Charles Johnson who could be shown the role by Mike Rucker before he retires at DE across from Julius Peppers. Offensively, we got a much needed Ryan Kalil to play center, a guy who knows our new blocking scheme already, leaving us with great depth on the line in case we have another injury plagued season. Then Dwayne Jarrett comes in to compliment Steve Smith and the FINALLY healthy Drew Carter and Keary Colbert, giving Carolina, what looks to be, an amazing set up for a passing game. And we can't forget Ryne Robinson, a return specialist, something Carolina is in great need of after a dismal return game last year......provided all of these guys pull through for us, I expect great things out of them all.

I love what my team did in the draft but not with free agency and player management. The Colts addressed alot of needs in the draft picking up Gonzalez, Hughs, Pitcock, and Roy Hall. Got some guys there that can really preform I watched the 3 buckeyes on that list play all last season great play makers. Hughs may have a slow forty time but he has great ball skills he was in the tops in the turnover category. And I like the lineman they picked up from Arkansas too. But I hate that they let go so many players in the secondary (Harper, David, and Doss). Although I do think Marlin Jackson will be able to step up this year. They also got rid of June and now all they have to back him up is a 3rd round pick from the 06 draft. I don't think releasing Stokley was a bad thing he is way too injury prone and, I think Gonzalez will prove to be the steal of the draft this season. Overall though I'm happy with the moves they made.

The Bears didn't have one; but they signed Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor and I'm pretty sure a team would rather have those two players than one rookie :). They drafted their first player of the draft in the 3rd round; safety Major Wright. He should be a contributor right away at full safety, and on top of that the Bears traded back for safety Chris Harris, so they completely filled that need. They added to their pass rush by drafting DE Corey Wootton in the 4th, who I thought was a steal because he is 1st round talent, and dropped because of his past injuries. They got QB Dan LeFeveour in the 6th round; I don't know why they drafted a QB but I guess it was because of value. I thought the Bears had an OK draft considering their lack of picks, but they've had a great offseason to make up for it.

In my case definitly not. I think the Eagles made a huge mistake take the QB as their #1 pick when they could have addressed our aging defense much better. I understand that no one know how or if McNabb will ever be able to play up to his previous standards again (see Daunte Culpepper) but they have two proven back ups on the roster already (AJ Feely and Kelly Holcomb) all the while our defense is getting older and slower (Even though Brian Dawkins had a great year how much longer is he going to last) and our Linebacker Squad cant stop the run. We should have had an all defense draft in my opinion starting with a strong LB with the 1st pick.

I am a steeler fan and I did not like their draft. Lawernce Timmons was a terriable pick. He is suited to play a 4-3 and looks like he will never be a starter. We used a first round pick on good special teamer. Then we use a 3rd round pick on a tight end, didn't we spend a 1st rounder on a tight in last year. We needed a RB with some power and should have gone after tony hunt or michael bush.

I was expecting the Saints to draft defense with the first pick, but after watching Robert Meachem against LSU a few times, I have a feeling that he will fit in just fine.
I'm looking forward to the RB Pittman comming in, maybe he can keep Deuce and Reggie from wearing themselves out as change of pace back.
I don't know much about the defensive picks...I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Tennessees could have had a better draft seeing as how Vince Young needs someone to throw the ball to, but other than that I think it was a pretty good draft. Its sort of funny becasuse back in the day, teams use to pick players by how popular they were in college but now you can't really predict the draft becuase teams are now picking players they actualy need.

Yes. I'm a Redskins fan, and I feel that they did the best they could with what they had. I DID want them to get Amobi Okoye, but I'm still very happy with Landry and he was likely the smarter pick. With later picks, they went for value and players who slipped through the cracks, such as H.B. Blades. A lot of draft analysts had him going multiple rounds ahead of where he did.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Landry and Blades perform, and I'm interested to see if Jordan Palmer can fight his way onto the roster.

I'm rarely impressed with their drafts, but they always seem to pan out for the best. Brady in the 6th round who knew?
Getting Merriwether (misspelled?) was the best thing we could do in that position. Trading a pick for next years pick is another NE tradition not so sure about that 24 for SF #1 next year? SF should be much improved so not sure why they did that? Not sure if Moss should be a draft discussion or trade but that should be very good.
While their official draft was very uneventful I think they were killers in the Free Agent Market! I'm probably most excited to see what Adailas Thomas can do at OLB! NE has a nice history of being very creative on defense and Thomas is as athletic and powerful as they come.
***Comment toward others! Cin mocking the defense wins Championships!? How about Bob Sapp saving that terrible Colts-D! Outside of one half against NE I wouldn't say the Colts did anything impressive on offense! So their D won the championship!
Minn draft- Peterson high risk high reward type of guy. His agressive style didn't work too well in college (injuries!) how is it supposed to work in a longer season with bigger, stronger and faster competition? Plus who on earth is The Vikings QB?

Eh...we could have done worse. I really wish we could have just taken Brady Quinn at number 22, but Jerry Jones must know something. But getting Browns first pick next year will be good considering that they will probably suck again. Hey remember what happened the last time the cowboys passed on an obvious late pick. Steven Jackson.
