Nearly every SEC game is a rivalry of some sort so all of those games are good but Auburn v Alabama has to be the best. Those knuckleheads in Alabama do not have anything else to cheer for other than college football. No pro teams and precious few other outlets for their passion. So they more than make up for it by taking college football to a whole new level.

I was driving through Alabama one day in June and listening to sports radio. There was an entire segment devoted to whether or not a three star (!) kid from Mobile would go to 'Bama or Auburn. And it is like that year round.

There is no other rivalry in football as passionate or as heated as this one.

As a Florida fan I always look to UF v UGA even though that rivalry is fading because Georgia seems to have lost their desire to win. I still lose sleep at night because of that bat rastard Lindsay Scott! ARGH!

Virginia Tech vs Miami - I'm a huge Tech fan and look forward to this weekend every year.
Virginia Tech - UVA - Not nearly as exciting since UVA blows, but if it became a 50-50 series over a few years I'm sure I could get just as excited about it.

I am pretty pumped about Florida State coming to Blacksburg this year, that's going to be a hell of a day, and the LSU - Tech game should be pretty money.

Western Carolina vs. Appalachian State

I know it's Division 1-AA, but going to a small school, both towns really get up for this game. It's probably the best rivalry you have never heard of.... Oh yeah, the team that wins gets to keep "the old mountain jug" until next season's contest.

i'm looking forward to gazing OSU, PSU, & Wisconsin do incredibly properly this season (and of their bowls) and then listening to all the back-pedaling from SEC followers who did no longer something yet communicate rubbish for 2 years. i'm additionally looking forward to seeing what Autism N (who's back, he grow to be on some days in the past) has to declare after USC loses to OSU. My wager is that if this takes place, i would be listening to on the subject of the tragic suicide of a few 20 12 months previous USC pupil named Austin on the information later that night....
