Loving Thoughts can be very powerful, some would say... have you tried...what would make it easier to achieve a state of a 'Beautiful Mind' without having to be a monk...what would make it easier and faster to achieve harmony in the 'Jungle'...?

Thanks for your comments!

Alex: Before I became a 'monk' I tried it for a lot of years. Never succeeded in a way I judged to my liking.

Maybe there's an easier way than monkishness. Good luck to you in finding it.

You can achieve this state in the jungle, but only by withdrawing from it at least part of the time. Give up an hour of sleep in the morning for meditation. You will find with time and practice that the attitude remains with you for longer and longer periods of time during the day.

In my experience, patience with others and persistence
with self. In other words, don't be persistent with others
(badgering) and don't be patient with self(procrastination).
Being patient with others gives rise to consideration for
their point of view and being persistent with self gives
rise to seeking and understanding that point of view.
Patience is easy because the patient individual doesn't
expend effort chasing down the unwilling candidate,
but instead carries on as usual awaiting the time
when the other individual volunteers participation.
Persistence is faster because the persistent individual
doesn't avert their routine on unnecessary overhead,
and in their routine the individual gains new understanding
through self involvement.

having a loving spirit...an over all feeling of compassion and caring that is expressed in your daily life........

unfortunately a loving spirit kind of makes you bait in the jungle

the difficult thing to balance is the need to protect yourself yet remain open to the joy of existence....
